Barbara MacArthur Sings Jule Styne

AS LONG AS THERE'S MUSIC

Join us for soprano Barbara MacArthur’s one-woman tribute to composer Jule Styne. It’s one show- stopping tune after another when Barbara turns on the magic in an evening that will leave you breathless and begging for more.

Styne’s scores include Funny Girl; Gypsy; Bells Are Ringing; Peter Pan; High Button Shoes; and Hallelujah Baby.

In sixty unforgettable minutes, Barbara MacArthur runs the gamut from the earthy “Barrelhouse Bessie From Basin Street” to the saucy “It’s Been a Long, Long Time” and back to the wistful “Who Are You Now”.  She swings to Styne’s “Just in Time” and thrills with his romantic classic “People.”  It’s lush; it’s lyrical; it’s lively. And definitely an evening to remember. Throughout it all, MacArthur never let’s us forget that no matter what, the world is going to be just fine As Long as There’s Music...
